Sugar Beet Field Days

Südzucker Moldova

Industry Events · Event Management · B2B Communications · Partner Engagement

Objective

To adapt the European Field Day format to Moldova and establish a regular platform connecting Südzucker Moldova with sugar beet growers, agricultural equipment and technology suppliers, and industry experts.

The main challenge was to organise large-scale events directly in the fields, without existing infrastructure, while providing technology demonstrations, a professional programme and comfortable facilities for participants.

Approach

PARC Communications developed the event concept and organised Südzucker Moldova's Field Days over many years in cooperation with the company's partners.

The programme included:

  • demonstration plots showcasing new cultivation technologies and sugar beet hybrids;

  • live demonstrations of agricultural machinery and equipment in field conditions;

  • site infrastructure, logistics and catering arrangements for 300–800 participants;

  • at selected editions, family activities, including children's areas and concerts.

  •

In 2026, the traditional Field Day evolved into the Sugar Beet Forum, under the theme “The Future of Sugar Begins in the Field”. Around 200 participants explored sugar beet hybrids and took part in two industry discussions focused on modern technologies, sustainable production and industry competitiveness.

The agency was responsible for developing the event concept, logistics, technical arrangements and coordination of contractors and event partners. For earlier editions, PARC Communications also managed information campaigns and media relations.

Results

Over the years, Sugar Beet Field Days became an established platform for professional exchange between Südzucker Moldova and its agricultural partners. Some editions attracted up to 800 participants, and the event format was subsequently adopted by other agricultural technology companies in Moldova.

The 2026 Forum expanded the format by combining practical demonstrations with discussions on the future of the sugar industry.
